It's been about seven months since the maiden launch of SoundLoud.com back in October of 2006. Thanks to all of your support our user base has increased exponentially making SoundLoud.com and SoundStation Music Store an almost instant success.
Launch Party
Wednesday, October 18, 2006
Well we did not have a real launch party since it is only a small team right now. But nonetheless SoundLoud.com is officially here to service the growing unsigned/independent artist community on the World Wide Web.
So what is this really about you ask? It is about selling music in a new way. A way where fewer hands are in the pot and more money is paid out to the artist. Ways where people can listen and buy your music right then and there without being taken off your website and directed to another music download service.
How did we do this? At SoundLoud we have developed an innovative and new experience called the SoundStation Music Store. A digital music store which can be placed on your official website you own. Your fans who come to drop you comments or emails, browse your photo gallery, and even preview your latest singles can now just buy your music through a simple checkout process.
In addition, we have built an intuitive and informative management console which does a number of things:
1) Allows you to upload your music and price it easily.
2) Displays info about your SoundStation Music Store performance in real-time.
3) Gives you the ability to send your earnings to yourself instantly.
Enough of selling the service. This purpose of this blog is not actually for that (See last paragraph). But if you are one of the early adopters of the service it might help you clear up a few questions you may have around what SoundLoud.com is and even more importantly why it has came to be.
In conclusion, welcome fellow musicians. I hope to hear your comments about the service. What you do not like? What you do? What needs to be added? etc...
Through the LoudBox, we will keep artists informed of any and everything going on in the digital music industry. So please check back often.
